A local Dauphin author and songwriter has produced a historical film about a very familiar area to Dauphin residents.
Working alongside the MTS Television series Stories From Home, Ed Stozek's film 'The Ghosts of Whitewater Lake' talks about the prisoner of war camp that once used to be at Riding Mountain National Park.
Stozek says the title of the film was derived from a previous literary piece that he had written.
He added, "I wrote a poem a long time ago called The Ghosts of Whitewater Lake... what stirred that on was one of them got killed and his head stoned mysteriously disappeared in Dauphin, so I kind of thought well that's kind of interesting."
The film's local debut will be on October 2nd at the Culture Days mini film festival.
