The province of Manitoba is keeping a close eye on the water levels of the Assiniboine River near Russell.
The latest hydrometric data from the province has the levels in the river currently sitting at 406.6 metres, with a discharge of 85 cubic metres per second.
Both levels are projected to increase by tomorrow morning.
A provincial spokesperson told CKDM this afternoon that communities located downstream from the Shellmouth Dam have been alerted of the situation.
