The year's first case of West Nile Virus in a human has been found in Manitoba.
The province says a male in his 40s from the Southern Health - Santé Sud region is believed to have exposed to the virus during the week of July 17.
He experienced neurological symptoms and was hospitalized.
The province says this is historically a high-risk time of year for West Nile in Manitoba, and the current risk for human exposure is moderate.
