Farmers threshing in Austin this weekend for the world record can take a break and play a prairie-inspired card game called Crop Cycle.
Trevor Lehmann, the creator of Crop Cycle, will be at the Thresherman's Reunion, demonstrating and selling his game, and donating some of his proceeds to charity.
"I noticed that there was this connection to the Canadians Foodgrains Bank, so I looked into (it) and realized it (has) quite an international focus... which I thought was perfect because not only does it deal with Canadian grains, which is that Crop Cycle theme, but it also reflects an international community, which is what helped fund the game in the first place."
Whether it's at the event, online, or at participating Winnipeg stores, 5 dollars from every sale of Crop Cycle tomorrow and Sunday will go to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, coinciding with the Harvesting Hope fundraiser.
