The Gilbert Plains Country Club is receiving a large donation from some dedicated community members.
Jean Sydor has donated her own 160 acres of farm land to the golf course for their Ag project, which is being taken care of all thanks to community donations and volunteers, to help the course's debt.
Sydor says she wanted to give back adding, "It's a nice little business in a small community, it's good for the community and there is a lot of spin off to other businesses in the community from Gilbert Plains Country Club. So, I just felt I wanted to keep it strong."
Eric Solski a former board member at the club is involved with the project, and says they're hoping the crop will bring in anywhere from $50,000 to $80,000.
The crop is being harvested tomorrow.
