Live music is descending on Dauphin but this time at the youth level.
Rock It Out! Is a two week summer rock camp for kids living in Manitoba aged 12-17 designed to encourage a sense of community amongst teenagers.
Outreach Manager in the Parkland for the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba (MDAM), Elanor Snitka says the camp concentrates on youth who may be struggling socially. She added, "We do deal with people who have depression... we know that music is a great therapy for people who might be struggling with stuff like that."
The MDAM is a self-help organization committed to providing support, education and advocacy to anyone suffering with a mood disorder.
