A new gym floor at Gilbert Plains Collegiate is already damaged.
Last night, Mountain View School Division's board of trustees discussed water damage on the new floor caused by a roof leak from heavy snow.
MVSD CEO and superintendent Donna Davidson says they marked the gym floor's grand opening last year.
"A year later, we're experiencing a roof leak and damages to the gym floor."
Secretary-treasurer Bart Michaleski told the board of trustees last night an insurance claim has been submitted.
