The City of Sunshine is now home to Pokemon creatures.
The very anticipated game called "Pokemon Go" -- in which players capture, battle, and train virtual creatures called Pokemon launched in Canada on Sunday..

20-year-old Dakota Fair says yesterday was the first day he and his friends started playing the game.

"Honestly, it was pretty good. That's all I can really say. Nostalgia for gen one really brought it to my attention i'm like, yay, gen one!"

At this point, Pokemon Go only features the 151 Pokemon from the first generation of games.

Fair says it's been a pretty good game so far.

"It should be really fun. But it can be dangerous if you are not really paying attention i.e having ear phones in and you just happen to be crossing the street if you can't hear anything, or if you don't look left or right you are probably going to get hurt."

The game has sparked attention and controversy in regards to safety, as cases have arisen with people running into on coming traffic by not paying attention to their surroundings.
