Day two of CUPE Manitoba's annual convention is underway at Credit Union Place.
National president Paul Moist spoke to CKDM after giving a speech to delegates.
He says this week delegates are debating issues like child care, mental health care, medicare, and pension reform.
He also says he thinks inequality is on everybody's lips in Manitoba, Canada, and around the world.
"I said to the delegates this morning, when the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank -- you know, not kind of left-wing organizations -- when they say that global inequality threatens the global economy, that we can't have a flourishing economy with rampant inequality, I think we need to take notice of that."
This is the 52nd CUPE Manitoba annual convention; it is held in Dauphin every three years.
