The Kinsmen Aquatic Centre is getting a new uprgade.
The year - round facility has been planning on building a new water slide with plans in the works.
General Manager at Dauphin Recreational Services, Ryan Vanderheyden says, "Studies have shown that with a water slide there are 20 per cent more users."
He added that Dauphin Rec. Services are always looking to keep people more active. Vanderheyden feels the water slide will attract more people to the centre and keep them more engaged with the facility's services during the cold winter months.
The Kinsmen Aquatic Center is also hosting "Toonie Swims" beginning today from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
