Dauphin's Habitat for Humanity chapter is set to benefit from a lengthy motorcycle ride through western Manitoba.
The first annual Ride for Habitat takes place August 6, with four starting locations: Dauphin, Brandon, Virden, and Killarney.
Riders will head to Neepawa, then go back to Dauphin, to Roblin, down Highway 83 to Russell and then to Virden.
Brandon chapter manager of fundraising and stewardship Margaret Schonewille says she's spoken to a number of riders and they prefer a longer ride.
And she says money raised will stay in the community it comes from.
"If you are riding from Dauphin, the pledge money that is earned comes right back to Dauphin to help in the builds there," says Schonewille.
Darren Eddie from the Dauphin chapter says registration and pledge forms can be picked up at his office.
