After seeing him at WE Day in Winnipeg back in November, the philanthropy group at Gilbert Plains Collegiate is bringing in Robb Nash.
Robb Nash is a public speaker and engages young people through the power of music and words, encouraging them to make positive life choices and lead lives of significance and purpose.

Supervisor for the Philantropy group, Trevor Beals says this whole thing spearheaded from one of his grade 12 students and he couldn't be more proud.

"For her to go out and do this on her own and then come to me for some guidance and some expertise on how to do those things, it's great. That's what philanthropy is about. To see her become a leader and be a role model for other students, it's awesome."

Beals says he hopes students listen to his message.

"Most kids feel the same things that other students do that you know if you are struggling you know you can always ask for help. There's always things out there that can make your life better. His message is great, he does it through music, he's pretty inspirational. So I just hope kids walk away feeling good about themselves."

Other schools that are invited to this is Grandview, Ethelbert and the Grade 7 & 8's from Gilbert Elementary.

The presentation takes place on Friday at 10:15am.
