Pallister Pressed to Make Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman a Priority

Opposition politicians in Manitoba say Premier Brian Pallister hasn't indicated that he's making missing and murdered indigenous women and girls a top priority.

N-D-P interim leader Flor Marcelino and NDP MLA Nahanni Fontaine both criticized the Conservatives for not mentioning the issue in the mandate letters Pallister gave to his ministers to assign their priorities.

Indigenous and Municipal Relations Minister Eileen Clarke says the government's promise to make Manitoba the most improved province in Canada includes working for all Manitobans.

Justice Minister Heather Stefanson and other Tories noted the N-D-P never released mandate letters during their time in office.

Search Continues for EgyptAir Plane

An Egyptian submarine is joining the hunt for the black boxes from EgyptAir Flight 804.

Egypt's President says it will take time to determine the exact cause of the crash, which killed all 66 people on board, including two Canadians.

Leaked flight data published by The Aviation Herald shows a sensor detected smoke in one of the plane's bathrooms and a fault in two of the cockpit windows.

Mounting evidence is pointing to a sudden, dramatic catastrophe that led to the crash in the eastern Mediterranean early Thursday.
