The Extra Foods Pharmacy in Dauphin will stay open during renovations.

Loblaws got approval from City Council last night to build a temporary ramp on the sidewalk near the normal entrance to the store, which the company says would give customers access to the pharmacy.

Mayor Eric Irwin says council will do what they can to help out the grocery store during its re-branding.

"We believe in growth and development, so we're going to accommodate them as they make the changeover."

The ramp will be up by June 1, and Extra Foods will close on June 11 to re-brand itself as No Frills.

No Frills is expected to re-open in late August of this year.
