Burning bans continue in various Parkland communities.

The RM of Riding Mountain West instituted a burning ban yesterday, asking residents not to light any fires and to be careful with anything that may spark one, like cigarette butts.

Roblin, Ethelbert, Lakeshore, Mossey River, and Minitonas-Bowsman all have burning bans in place as well.

Grandview has issued a burning restriction, banning all fires within five kilometres of Riding Mountain and the Duck Mountains. Residents elsewhere in Grandview are asked to contact the municipal office before lighting any fires.

The province has also issued burning bans for eastern, central, and some of western Manitoba.
