Canada's National Ukrainian Festival is putting on a fundraiser dance to raise money to replace artifacts, first aid kits and much more that was lost in a fire that burned down their office back in October.
Livia Johnson, chief administrator officer for CNUF says this fundraiser will be a good way to get the community together as CNUF has received nothing but since the fire.
"This festival is going on it's 51st year and the fire was devastating, like we lost everything. And for the community to get together the way they have is awesome. It shows support that they want to keep this festival going for many years to come. So I think it's a fantastic thing."
The Ukrainian Old Timers and the Sche Raz Ukrainian Dancers will be there.
The event is from 8pm to 1am on May 14th at the Selo Hall.
Tickets are $20 each and are available at the CNUF office in the Plaza off Main.
