Two provincial ridings in the Parkland will have election candidates from the Progressive Conservative party in place by the end of the month.
Dauphin and Riding Mountain will have their nomination meetings on April 24 and 25 respectively.
The party's liaison for candidate recruitment, Ralph Eichler, says he's impressed with the level of commitment the three candidates in each riding have shown.
"We're gonna be having those nomination meetings coming up at the end of the month. We have three potential candidates running for us in Dauphin, and also three in Riding Mountain. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the candidates and of course their commitments, and their families commitments, that it takes to be an MLA and put themselves out there to represent us in the next election. We're very pleased with that."
Jim MacMillan, Brad Michaleski and Dwayne Sydor are the three candidates in Dauphin.
In Riding Mountain, they are Rob Gillam, Duane Klimack and Greg Nesbitt.
