Young cattle farmers are busy learning about raising and caring for their stock at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair's cattle show.
Beef cattle committee chairperson Shannon Carvey, says the show provides a lot useful information for the young cattle farmers who are in attendance.
"The beef cattle show is primarily a junior show. That means it's open to the youth beef participants. It's an opportunity for them to come and showcase their 4H animals for their junior beef projects, and it also provides them an opportunity to make those connections and relationships with fellow youth beef producers. It's really a great opportunity for them to network and learn from one another."
Carvey says this show is a great learning opportunity and also gives youths a chance to compete against one another.
The fair runs all week until Saturday.
