Dauphin Rec Services is getting a new general manager, and the GM is getting an assistant.
Ryan Vanderheyden will be taking over for outgoing GM Terry Payne. Payne says in addition to that, events coordinator Brandon Lockerby will be promoted to assistant GM.
A release from DRS says Lockerby will still look after the events and scheduling within Dauphin Recreation Services, as well as assist the new GM with day-to-day operations.
Payne says "Ryan will bring a lot of new energy to the organization."
Vanderheyden spent his last seven years of employment at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada in Cambridge, Ontario.
He will start at the DRS on April 14. Payne will stay on until the end of April.
