One way to thank the business community is to host a Dauphin Chamber of Commerce event. Another way is to bring in more business.
The Dauphin Fire Department hosted the Chamber's After Five event yesterday. Fire Chief Cam Abrey says in the summer, they'll be hosting the Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs, bringing 200 or more people into the community.
"In 2014 we hosted the Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs conference here in Dauphin, and it was a huge success. And all the delegates and sales reps that were in attendance thought that it was good enough that they want to come back this year. So, June 2nd to 4th we are once again hosting the Manitoba Association of Fire Chiefs."
The Chamber held one of its breakfast series meetings this morning. The next lunch event is on April 12.
