A local man instrumental in the Dauphin and Manitoba snowmobile scene has died.
Sylvain Paquet passed away yesterday.
Alan Butler, president of Snoman, says Sylvain had an infectious air of optimism and enthusiasm.
"Sylvain was the type of guy that -- he always looked at the positive things. I don't think Sylvain ever, ever had a bad word to say about anyone. And he could always sit back and sort of calm everybody down and rationalize what was good and what shouldn't be."
Butler says it doesn't matter where Sylvain went, he was so well-liked.
