The RM of Dauphin says heavy vehicle road restrictions are now in place.
Due to unseasonably warm weather, anything over a single axle will be restricted on RM roads.
Reeve Dennis Forbes says restrictions this year are coming sooner than normal.
"Restrictions, although most of the time they'll go April 1, we're going to start restricting roads as of now in an attempt to keep the roads from falling apart."
While it is limited to larger vehicles, Forbes is still cautioning all drivers on RM roads.
"I would like to caution people as well that there is water starting to trickle down our ditches. It looks like it's opening up this spring. be aware, and don't hesitate to phone me if there's a situation that does arise."
Forbes says signs are not up yet, but the restrictions are in place.
