The Grandview & District Recreation Commission has a new toy!

The Grandview Kinsmen Club donated $16,000 dollars towards a new Kubota tractor.

Grandview Recreation Director, Jill Wiebe says that it was time for a new one.

"We had a sponsorship come to the table, and we thought that it was a good time to jump on the new tractor deal."

The tractor is used in the town to pull the ice resurfacer in the winter, and in the summer is used for grounds maintenance.

Darren Grasby, who's part of the Kinsmen Club says that being able to help like this is the reason why they do what they do

"The Kinsmen Club we're steady fundraising in the community and the more that we can do in the community to show that the money we are raising, is going back towards helping the community. It also gets our name out there that we are donating back, and that's the reason why we are fundraising as much as we do."

The also received a brand new ice resurfacer as well.
