Canadian cable customers who are looking to cut their bills down have reason to celebrate today...but should still be cautious at the same time.
As of today, Canadian TV providers will be offering "skinny basic" packages, with a smaller number of channels capped at $25 per month.
MTS' Starter Package, along with Westman's Lite Choice, offer 24 channels, which includes mostly news and local access channels.
Both companies allow you to purchase additional channel bundles, but depending on what you want, the price could add up pretty quickly.
