A goal to raise $50,000 was the challenge that the Roblin Community Foundation took on this past year.
The foundation teamed up with the Thomas Sill Foundation for their "Sill Challenge" to raise money to go towards their undesignated funds.
They already had $32,000 raised, but after their Valentine banquet this past weekend they met their goal of $50,000!
Vernon Brown, president of the Roblin Community Foundation says that it's a great feeling that they have community support in order to give back to the community like this.
"It's great to give money back into the community, it helps keep the community a better place. And it just brings people together, it's a very unifying thing."
Since they beat the challenge the Thomas Sill Foundation also gave them an extra $25,000. So a total of $75,000 will go towards their grant services.
