A candlelight vigil will be held in Vermillion Park this evening in memory of those lost in the La Loche shooting, as well as other tragedies.
Organizer Mavis Pambrun says she wants to bring awareness for people dealing with issues like depression and drug and alcohol abuse.
"It's to honour the memory of the children, and to provide support to everyone who is wanting help."
Pambrun says another important issue worth addressing tonight is bullying, which she believes can lead some youth down a dark path. She says kids should not be afraid to speak up if they are being bullied.
"If you have to be a rat, be a great big rat and tell everyone you're being bullied. I don't think there's any need for [bullying]. You know, we're supposed to be a smart people, so let's live up to that."
The candlelight vigil will take place at Vermillion Park at 5 o'clock tonight. Everyone is welcome to attend.
