Enumerators with Elections Manitoba are going door-to-door around the province to collect eligible voter information.
Manager of Communications and Public Information Alison Mitchell says workers will be wearing a yellow Elections Manitoba vest, and will have a Photo ID badge, which includes their name, position, and photo.
She warns that if somebody comes to your door and claims to be with Elections Manitoba, but does not have the official vest and ID, to call 204-945-3225, as they could be trying to commit fraud.
Mitchell says political candidates and their representatives might be campaigning door to door between now and the election, and they are required by law to present official identification as well.
Eligible voters will be asked to provide their names and address, but information regarding phone numbers, gender, and dates of birth are voluntary.
Elections Manitoba enumerators started work today, and will go until March 7.
