Community Futures Parkland was awarded the Community Futures Award for Excellence and Innovation by the Community Futures Manitoba Organization.
The award is about community economic development, and encourages local resources in a way that enhances economic opportunity, while improving social conditions.
Jami Turetsky, Community Development Coordinator for Community Futures Parkland, says their regional organization focuses on existing challenges in their community.
"CF Parkland, they are committed influencing the future of the young people, and decreasing regional unemployment by motivating and exposing them to career opportunities in all areas."
This award is given out to different Community Futures Organizations every 2 years.
