Daffodil Days is coming up in March, and you can pre-order your daffodils now!

Daffodil Days, which runs from March 14-20, is done through the Canadian Cancer Society, and money raised will go towards cancer research, and supporting Canadians living with cancer.

Daffodil Manager Karrie Smyth says the flowers are worn for the same reason people wear poppies for Remembrance Day.

"They are a symbol of hope. It's a bright, cheery flower that we wear on the lapel, and it reminds Manitobans and Canadians that they're not alone in their fight against cancer."

Smyth says the Canadian Cancer Society is looking for people to volunteer for the cause in Dauphin, and that there are several ways people can help.

"It might be volunteering in the mall through the sale of live daffodils, I'm sure that our daffodil coordinator would love to have more hands to help her do that, or to help delivery daffodil boxes through the month of April. There's no shortage of ways people can help volunteer their time."

Volunteers will be at the Dauphin Marketplace Mall March 19 to sell live daffodils. Pins will later be given out during the month of April for Daffodil Month.
