Nominations are now open for the RBC Local Hero Award!

The company is looking to honour Manitobans who are doing their part to address mental health in the province.

RBC Community Investment Coordinator Joelle Doucete says many people who are doing their part don't get the recognition they deserve.

"Volunteers have always been sort of our unsung heroes, and we definitely want to shine a light on all types of volunteers in Manitoba who are supporting many different types of initiatives in many of our local communities."

The selected hero will receive $5,000 to go to the federally-registered charity of their choice.

Nominations can be made at volunteermanitoba.ca by February 5. The award will be given out during Volunteer Manitoba's Awards Dinner on April 28.
