The Swan River RMCP got a report around 3 on Saturday afternoon that a 24-year-old male was taken to the hospital with firearm-related injuries.
Initial investigation determined the man was in the driver's seat of a car while the person with him was nearby talking to an unknown man. The conversation escalated and a shot was fired. The driver was hit and taken to the hospital immediately before being transported to a Winnipeg hospital for treatment.
The second male was reported to have minor physical injuries, but police have been unable to locate him at this time. The RCMP is actively looking for this individual as well as the suspect who fired the shot.
