Another body of water north of Flin Flon is now named after a Manitoban who died serving her community.
The province has named a lake 45 kilometres north of Flin Flon after Rhonda Commodore, a correctional officer at The Pas Correctional Centre who was killed in a motor vehicle collision in 2014 while transporting inmates from The Pas to Dauphin.
Yesterday, the province announced another body of water north of Flin Flon was being named after RCMP Constable Dennis Strongquill, who was fatally wounded during a routine traffic stop near Russell in 2001.
