An airline that made passenger flights from Dauphin to Winnipeg and back is no longer offering the service.

In October, Perimeter Aviation reduced flights here and held a three-month trial run that was set to end last Thursday to gauge whether continuing the service was economically viable.

City of Dauphin assistant administrative officer Sharla Griffiths says the city received confirmation yesterday that Perimeter Aviation had its last flight between Dauphin and Winnipeg on January 14.

She says the airport board, RM of Dauphin, and City of Dauphin are exploring options in terms of air passenger service in Dauphin.

CKDM has not yet spoken to a Perimeter representative.
