The Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for a breakfast and lunch seminar series on better business practices and opportunities for workers and employers.

Each seminar will feature a presentation by one of many business experts from across the province, followed by a Q&A session.

Chamber Executive Director Stephen Chychota says the first lunch event takes place Tuesday, January 12. The Parkland Job Opportunity Centre will look to connect job seekers with businesses in an interesting way.

"What they're doing is pairing up employers and employees and just letting them do kind of a speed-dating scenario to get the employees I guess a little interaction with some of the potential employers that are out in town."

The first breakfast presentation will happen on Thursday, January 21. Mick Lautt with Taiga Consulting will talk about maximizing profits in a sustainable way.

Tickets for both the lunch and breakfast seminars can be purchased at the Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce's office. If you buy your tickets before the end of Friday, you will be entered to win a $300 voucher for a weekend stay at Travelodge East in Winnipeg.
