The Dauphin First United Church says turnout at their Christmas Dinner was encouraging.
The church estimates they served about 85 people.
This is the first year the United Church did the Christmas Dinner, but Coordinating Rep Ron Marlin says St. Viators had slightly higher attendance when they previously held the dinner.
"When we had talked to the previous organizers at St. Viators, we were a little below their numbers, but I guess we just need word of mouth to get things out, and we expect that things will likely jump a little up bit more next year."
Marlin says they even delivered 15 meals to those who were unable to attend.
