Some Manitoba Hydro customers in the Parkland will be experiencing power outages throughout the day as Hydro crews continue to remove ice and frost from its transmission and distribution systems.
The Dauphin, Grandview, Gilbert Plains, Neepawa, Minnedosa, Newdale, Sandy Lake, Erickson, Russell, Roblin, and Shortdale areas are affected.
Most of these areas were affected by planned power outages for the same reason yesterday.
Hydro said in a press release yesterday, if the ice and frost is not removed, the additional weight can cause lines, insulators, cross arms and other hardware to break, resulting in unplanned outages.
