A few Gilbert Plains Collegiate students will soon be taking in some of Central Europe's most historic sites.
About nine students will get to see first-hand sites like the Berlin Wall, the Auschwitz concentration camp, and historic buildings in Prague and Budapest.
Mountain View School Division Superintendent Donna Davidson says it's important for students to see first-hand the things they're studying.
"It's always important that when we're planning field trips or these types of excursions, that we link them to cirricular outcomes students are studying in class."
Mountain View School Division Superintendent Donna Davidson says the trip's teacher companion will have a lot of things to go over with the students before they leave.
The students are scheduled to start their 10 day trip near the end of March.
