St. Paul's Home in Dauphin is soon going to be operated by Prairie Mountain Health, not the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate.
Since 1997, PMH has been paying the bills while the Sisters run the facility under a service purchase agreement.
But come January 1, PMH will oversee all of St. Paul's Home's operations.
PMH CEO Penny Gilson says there will be no job loss as a result of the transfer.
St. Paul's Home is a 70-bed long term care facility that provides 24-hour nursing and personal care home services.
The SSMI council made a motion to transfer operations to PMH on October 28.
Sister Patricia Lacey, Provincial Superior of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, says the transfer is being done because they do not have enough sisters.
