The Manitoba legislature won't sit again until February, but Dauphin's MLA says he's already preparing for it.
The fall session of the legislature wrapped up yesterday, and Stan Struthers said earlier today he's getting ready for the February session starting now.
"We have legislation that didn't pass this time that will be brought forward in February. There's still the commitments from the throne speech that we need to move forward at that time. Whether we do a budget or an economic update, there will be things to follow up on on the financial, you know, on the economic side."
Opposition leader Brian Pallister said yesterday the NDP's recently proposed laws are too little, too late, and calls it an optical illusion instead of a sincere approach to achieving legislative advancement.
Pallister also says he thinks Manitobans would like to see a fiscal plan from the government.
Premier Greg Selinger has said there will either be a budget or some sort of fiscal update before the election.
