Dauphin's high school is looking to engage parents by having them pick up their kids' report cards.
Vice principal Gord Wood says as kids hit high school, fewer parents come to parent-student-teacher conferences.
"So this is somewhat of a change, an initiative to see if we can't generate more parents coming in to meet with teachers, and even bringing their children in to discuss, you know, progress, just have conversations about their learning and things we can do to support their child's learning."
Report cards can be picked up at the DRCSS beginning tomorrow morning. Parents and students can access grades and attendance any time using the Power School Portal.
