The City of Dauphin had a better year for public works projects in 2015 than it has for the past few years, thanks to the weather.

Director of public works and operations Bill Brenner says the weather's been very cooperative in 2015 and it was a stellar year.

"We got all the work done that we had planned, plus a little bit more than we didn't have planned."

He says it's been an above average year.

The city's public works foreman's month-end report says crews were extremely busy in October, trying to finish outstanding work before the temperature dropped.
