Dauphin's Lt.-Col William 'Billy' Barker is going to get a dedication in the Manitoba Legislative Building's Hall of Honour.
The Hall of Honour was opened today with Premier Greg Selinger and special envoy for military affairs Deanne Crothers unveiling a complete list of all First World War regiments based out of Manitoba and announcing the introduction of a daily ceremony for 'turning of the pages' of the Books of Remembrance.
Selinger says the government is planning additions to the hall to include dedications to Lt.-Col. William 'Billy' Barker and Sgt. Tommy Prince of Winnipeg.
The Hall of Honour will be accessible to the public during the Legislative Building's regular operating hours.
