A local fitness instructor just won an award from the Manitoba Fitness Council.
Patrick Furkalo won the 2015 Manitoba Rural Fitness Leader of the Year award this past weekend.
He says he was basically presented the inaugural award.
"There's always been the Manitoba Fitness Leader of the Year, but they recognize that in urban, or Winnipeg, they have a lot more opportunities than the rural fitness leaders do, so there is a Manitoba Rural Fitness Leader of the Year and there is also an Urban Fitness Leader of the Year."
Furkalo is the owner of Ladies Choice for Fitness in Dauphin and has a fitness DVD Formula 3 Fitness, and a series of fitness books.
