The Dauphin Firefighters Association is looking to restore a couple old trucks to bring back some of the history of the fire department.

Fire Chief Cam Abrey says proceeds from the upcoming Firefighters Ball will go to the association for this initiative.

"We have our 1919 and our 1936 pumper and we want to start doing a complete restoration on that and kind of preserve the history of Dauphin Fire Department. Now that we have our shed built at the back of the property, that's where those two trucks are and we'd like to show them off a little bit more."

Tickets for the Firefighters Ball are available until next Friday. The ball is on November 7.

Keeping with the theme, Abrey calls it the longest-running social event in Dauphin's history.

He says it's been running since 1901.

Tickets are available until next Friday.
