The Manitoba government has closed moose hunting in two more game hunting areas.
Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship says moose hunting is closed in GHAs 29 and 29A in the Turtle Mountain area effective immediately.
Moose hunting is now closed to all hunters in GHAs 12, 18, 18A, 18B, 18C, 14, 14A, 13, 13A, 26, 29, and 29A. GHA 19A is closed to licensed hunters but is open to First Nations and Metis hunters.
The closures are necessary to help populations recover.
