RCMP say a gunshot fired in McCreary was fired at no one in particular.
Ste Rose detachment members responded to a report of gunshots heard from a residence at 6:45 Saturday morning.
Five people were in the backyard.
RCMP Sgt. Bert Paquet says a female assaulted one of the responding officers by pushing them, and a male also began assaulting and interfering with members, and one officer was bitten by a small dog.
Paquet says the officers determined a gunshot did go off earlier that morning but not in anyone's direction.
Police searched the residence and seized two rifles, one shotgun, and some marijuana. Three adults, two male and one female, were taken into custody. Charges are pending and the investigation continues.
