Dauphin saw record-breaking heat over the weekend.

Actually, according to Environment Canada meteorologist Natalie Hasell, there were a number of heat records broken in Manitoba on Sunday.

"Fisher Branch, Gimli, Gretna, Island Lake, Pilot Mound, Pinawa. And we had some very near-record high temperatures: Brandon, Melita, Norway House, Sprague."

Dauphin's new record for October 11 is 25.9 degrees Celsius, beating the old record of 24.4 set in 1911.

Hasell says the next couple days will still be above normal for Manitoba, but by Thursday and Friday there will be a shift.

She says Thursday and Friday will have normal daytime temperatures but overnight will be unseasonably cool.
