The next step in the construction of a new Richardson grain elevator in Dauphin is underway.
The concrete for the concrete elevator is being poured this week.
Tracey Shelton, Director of corporate communications for Richardson, says the pour is a 24-hours-a-day operation.
"It started today and does not stop until it's actually finished. And it's expected to take seven days, but it could be finished as early as within five days, depending on how efficient the pour is."
The construction is expected to be complete in August 2016. In the meantime, a temporary receiving and shipping system is in place at the Dauphin site.
