The City of Dauphin is getting involved in a national program celebrating art and culture.
Culture Days takes place next week across Canada, and the city will take part with the annual Arts Alive weekend.
The city’s tourism and special events coordinator Ashley Miller says the city wanted to participate in the Culture Days program by having different events taking place across the community.
"I think our community is based around, well, community and arts and we have tons of people who are heavily involved in it. We really wanted to participate in Culture Days and bring some different event throughout the city during that time."
A film festival, yardfringe, and pop-op concerts at local restaurants will all be featured as part of Arts Alive.
Miller says the city hopes that a lot of people come out and take part.
"We hope that we have a ton of people come out. Everybody is welcome and everything is free. We just encourage everybody to come out and participate no matter what age. Everyone's welcome and we encourage everybody to come out that week and celebrate Culture Days."
Arts Alive runs from September 23 to the 27.
