The Secretary Treasurer of the Gilbert Plains and Grandview Agricultural Society says the society is expecting this year's fair to be a successful event.
Lori Bremner says volunteers have put in a lot of work in the planning for this year and they're hoping some good weather can help lead to a big turnout.
"It's the 25th anniversary for the rodeo this year, and so we have some special stuff going on with that. There's been a lot of people that have stepped up to the plate and I think all the plans are now coming together."
The fair runs from Friday to Sunday in Gilbert Plains.
This year marks the 117th anniversary for the fair.
